How to Stay Engaged:

Call in to Civil Service Commission meetings for Public Expression or agenda-specific Public Comment.

  1. Fill out the telecomment form below - make sure to use the phone number you will be calling in with, otherwise our clerks will not recognize you and you will not be let into the meeting.
  2. At 9:00 a.m., call in using the information emailed to you. You will be placed on hold until it is your turn to speak.
  3. Be aware! Only telecomment requests received prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the civil service meeting will be accepted.

Submit a written comment via email.

  1. Once the agenda has been posted, submit a written comment to civilservicecommission@mendocinocounty.org. All written comments must be received prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the civil service meeting.
  2. Indicate if your correspondence is for public comment. If it is for a specific item, indicate the item number.

Leave a voicemail comment to played during public comment.

  1. Call 707-234-6307 and leave a voice message, up to 3 minutes in length prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the civil service meeting, to be played during public expression/public comment, as it relates to the agenda.
  2. Speak clearly, being sure to leave your full name and the agenda item upon which you are making comment.
  3. Anonymous phone messages will not be presented during the meeting.

If the public wishes to speak to the commission during public comment, they may do so by calling in to the Zoom meeting. The filling out of this form is required in order to do so. Please be sure to fill out whether you are speaking in general Public Expression, or on a specific agenda item, and which item that is.

You will receive instruction on how to call into the meeting after your form has been reviewed.

All comments must be received by 8:00am on the day of the meeting, or they will not be processed in time to speak

When called to speak, please state your name for the record. Public comment is limited to three minutes per person. Speakers are asked to please address their comments to the Chair of the Commission and to refrain from using profanity or engaging in conversation with members of the audience.
