The Animal Care Services Clinic provides the following services to Mendocino County dog & cat owners:

  • Low cost spay & neuter that is financially assisted through the Spay & Neuter Assistance Program
    • Due to overwhelming demand, the wait time for surgeries is at least six months, and often longer
  • Micro-chipping
  • Trap, Neuter & Release of Feral Cats
  • Vaccinations
    • DAPP
    • BORDATELLA
    • FVRCP
    • FELV
    • Rabies
  • Testing for FELV, FIV, Heartworm for both dogs & cats, and Parvo

Dog Owners

There are a few things you should be aware of:

  • All owners of dogs spayed or neutered in the Clinic are required to purchase a Mendocino County Dog License for $31.00 if needed.
  • The Clinic will not perform spay & neuter surgeries on dogs that are over 5 years of age and/or over 100 pounds in weight.
  • Spay & neuter surgeries for dogs over 5 years old and/or over 100 lbs can be risky and you should consult with your primary Veterinarian.
  • Please go to the below link and fill out the online Spay or Neuter Appointment Form if you are wanting to get your dog / cat spayed or neutered.
