Senate Bill (SB) 1383 and Mendocino County Code (MCC) require organic waste generators to source separate and manage their organic waste by doing one of the following: (1) subscribing to organic waste collection service through the County’s franchised hauler, (2) self-hauling to a solid waste facility, operation, activity, or property that processes or recovers source separated organic waste, or (3) onsite and/or community composting.
