Ticks are active in Northern California, elevating the risk for contracting Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi).

Mendocino County residents can get ticks identified and tested for the presence of Borrelia burgdorferi at the Solano County and Sonoma County Public Health laboratories. Click on the links for each laboratory to learn more about how to submit the tick either at a drop-off location or by mail along with a requisition form and payment.
