Since the maximum eclipse will be around 9:20 a.m. we will meet at the park in Point Arena at 9:00 a.m.
Along with a viewing party, Coast will be offering a 3-hole punch pinhole projector attendees can create to see how different shapes cast the shadow of the eclipse. Those feeling more art-inclined can create eclipse chalk art, representing the corona the Sun creates when it is blocked by the moon. After the viewing party, return to the library to make a protective case for your solar viewing glasses.
Solar viewing glasses will be provided at the event. All activities were provided by Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries, NASA@ My Library, and StarNet.
