Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic
3rd Saturdays of each month at 3:00 PM
Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturday of each month at 3 pm. This free event is open to both teens & adults – all are invited to share poems in any form or style, or just listen to others.
On September 16, 2023 we welcome Jennifer Sperry Steinorth, author of A Wake with Nine Shades (2019) and Her Read, A Graphic Poem (2021), recipient of Foreword Review’s Bronze prize in poetry. She is the recipient of a Beinecke Fellowship and grants from Vermont Studio Center, the Sewanee Writers Conference, Community of Writers, and the University of Michigan. Recent work appears in Cincinnati Review, Denver Quarterly Review, Kenyon Review, Michigan Quarterly, Missouri Review, Plume, and TriQuarterly. An interdisciplinary artist and licensed builder, she lectures at the University of Michigan in the Department of English and the Penny Stamps School of Art & Design and is at work on a biography of C.D. Wright.

Únase al personal de la sucursal de Ukiah mientras organizamos eventos de poesía en persona el tercer sábado de cada mes a las 3 p.m. Este evento gratuito está abierto tanto a adolescentes como a adultos; todos están invitados a compartir poemas en cualquier forma o estilo, o simplemente escuchar a otros.
