Walker Art Challenge - Milk Carton Sculptures
Saturday June 10, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Mark your calendars! Our Mark Walker Art Challenge will take place Saturday, June 10 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in our newly opened Museum Makerspace.
Join us as we take inspiration from the art of Mendocino County Folk Artist Mark Walker and use milk cartons and other found objects to create colorful and funky works of art. In the spirit of Walker’s resourcefulness and clever use of found materials, we hope this program will challenge participants to rethink art and how it is made. Participants are invited to display completed creations in our Community Art Cabinet in the Museum Makerspace.
This program is open to all but is ideal for families and children ages 5 – 12. Program attendance is free with the cost of Museum admission.
