MENDOCINO COUNTY MUSEUM SPECIAL PROGRAM

With Roots of Motive Power

Saturday December 3, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm 

In collaboration with the Roots of Motive Power Holiday Express Event, the Mendocino County Museum will have extended hours on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., offer FREE Admission, and invite the public to enjoy our exhibits and festive activities.  

Our correspondence exhibit featuring letters, post cards, and holiday recipes exchanged throughout the county will be on display. Try your hand at using our old-fashioned typewriter or pen a note to a friend using a quill and ink. A special take-and-make craft will be available while supplies last.

Visitors can also view the newly opened exhibit, Exploramos Juntos: Nuestra Alianza, which showcases Nuestra Alianza’s success in preserving and sharing the vibrant culture of our Latino friends and neighbors in the greater Mendocino County community.

Roots of Motive Power will be hosting its annual Holiday Express event at the Roots of Motive Power Yard and Engine House (next door to the Museum) on December 3, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. This FREE family event includes Trains, Treats, Toys, and a visit from Santa.
