Fish And Game Commission
The Mendocino County Fish and Game Commission is a local body of volunteer Commissioners, established by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, to ensure that renewable natural resources including fish, game, and wildlife, along with their habitats, are conserved for this and succeeding generations of Mendocino County residents.
The Commission meets every other month with public participation, at locations throughout the County to discuss relevant fish and wildlife issues and administer an annual grants program. The commission promotes full understanding and trust through effective communication and transparency, by providing technical analyses and funding recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.

The Mendocino County Fish and Game Commission meets every other month on the second Tuesday of the month. Meeting locations rotate through Ukiah, Willits, and Fort Bragg. The location for the upcoming meeting will be shown in the agenda for that meeting.

CDFW Propagation Fund Grants
The Mendocino County Fish and Game Commission solicits grant applications that comply with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife guidelines and codes. The Commission reviews the applications and recommends appropriate projects to the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors for grant awards.
Grant applications are solicited annually in the autumn and awarded in early spring. Per the County Board of Supervisor's request, projects leading to wildlife and habitat restoration and rehabilitation will be prioritized.

Grant Cycles
2022-2023
The Mendocino County Fish and Game Commission is currently soliciting grant applications for projects that benefit fish and/or wildlife in Mendocino County and comply with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife guidelines and codes. The Commission will submit recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for the awarding of grants in January 2023. In Fiscal Year 2022/2023, the available amount for Grant Allocations is $25,000 total. Per the County Supervisor’s request, projects leading to wildlife and habitat restoration and rehabilitation will be prioritized.
